We may use personal information to:
respond to enquiries
arrange and manage HEAL™ sessions and programmes
communicate with participants, parents, caregivers and whānau
understand individual needs and support safe participation
manage bookings, payments and administration

Information provided to HEAL™ for one purpose will not ordinarily be used for an unrelated purpose without permission, unless permitted or required by law.
Children and young people
HEAL™ works with children and young people, and we recognise that their privacy deserves particular care.
Where appropriate, information relating to a child or young person will be collected from or with the involvement of their parent, caregiver or authorised representative.
We aim to collect only the information genuinely needed to support the participant's experience, wellbeing and safety.
We treat this information with respect and sensitivity.
Health, wellbeing and support information
Sometimes a parent, caregiver or participant may choose to share information about communication, accessibility, health, behaviour, sensory needs or other circumstances that may help us provide an appropriate and supportive HEAL™ experience.
We ask that you only provide information you believe is relevant.
This information is treated as private and is used to help us understand and support the individual participating in HEAL™.
Sharing your information
We do not sell or trade personal information.
Information may be shared with people or service providers who reasonably need it to help us operate HEAL™ or provide a safe service.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to a serious health or safety concern.
Where we use third-party services to help operate our website, bookings, forms, waivers, communications or payment systems, those providers may process information on our behalf.
Photographs, video and stories
The HEAL™ experience can create beautiful moments of connection between humans and horses, but participation in HEAL™ does not automatically mean permission has been given for those moments to be shared publicly.
We will seek appropriate consent before identifiable photographs, video, testimonials or participant stories are used for HEAL™ marketing, social media, website content or promotional purposes.
Consent for media use can be declined without affecting participation in a HEAL™ programme.
Website information and cookies
Like most websites, the HEAL™ website may collect basic technical information about how visitors use the site, such as browser information, pages visited and general website activity.
Cookies or analytics tools may be used to help us understand and improve the website experience.
Where third-party platforms are used, their own privacy practices may also apply.
Keeping information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Access to participant information is limited to people who reasonably require it to perform their role or support the delivery of HEAL™.
We do not keep personal information for longer than reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected or where retention is required by law.
Your information, your rights
You have the right to ask what personal information HEAL™ holds about you and to request access to that information.
You can also ask us to correct information if you believe it is inaccurate or incomplete.
Parents or authorised caregivers may contact us regarding information relating to a child or young person, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
Our commitment
HEAL™ is built around connection.
We believe trust is created through the way we treat people — before, during and after every interaction.
Your information will be treated with the same values we bring to our work with people and horses: respect, care, safety and integrity.
