HEAL™ Out & About brings the connection to you. Designed for rest homes, aged-care facilities, disability and supported-living services, community organisations and people who may be unable to visit a HEAL Healing Hub.

The programme takes carefully selected HEAL horses into familiar and accessible environments.

Each experience begins with hā - breath and presence, creating a gentle moment of connection before participants are invited to meet, touch, brush, talk to or simply spend time alongside the horse.

HEAL-human-equine-assisted-learning

There is no expectation to ride, perform or even speak; the relationship itself is the experience. 

Through touch, presence and companionship, horses can encourage conversation, evoke memories and stories, create moments of calm and joy, and bring people, whānau and carers together. 

Participation is always by choice and guided by dignity, accessibility, safety and horse welfare.

When you can’t come to the horse, HEAL brings the connection to you.
